Taunton, Elsie Marie (Moniz) Ferris-Penacho died Friday June, 8 2012, at Morton Hospital Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was 84 yrs of age. She was the loving wife of the late Francis Ferris-Penacho, She was born in Taunton Ma, Daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Medeiros) Moniz, She was educated in Taunton Schools. She worked at Fashion Bug for 19yrs until retirement. She loved dancing, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ms. Ferris-Penacho was all about her family and loved them all endlessly. She was the loving mother of 12 children, David Ferris of Gonic NH, Carol Tuck of Alton NH, William Ferris and his wife Sandra of Alton NH. Joanne Lawrence and her husband Martin of Tellico Plains TN, Robert Ferris of Tellico Plains TN, Linda Fracken and her husband Steve of St. Augustine FL, Nancy Dominick and her husband Melvin of Taunton, Francis Ferris of Taunton, Kenneth Ferris and his wife Sandra of E. Freetown, Steven Ferris and his wife Sandra of Taunton, Ronald Ferris and his wife Robin of E. Taunton, Jeffery Ferris of Rockport ME. She is also survived by one sister Helen Pigeon of Sarasota FL and 30 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son in-law Joseph Tuck. A graveside will be held Saturday at 9:00am at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-8pm At the Taunton Funeral Home.
