Thomas E. Thorn, of Canton , died June 8, 2012, at Hellenic Nursing Home. He was 95 years old. He was born on April 25, 1917, in New York City, to William E. Thorn and Bertha (Hillman) Thorn.
He was a graduate of North Quincy High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He proudly served in the Unites States Coast Guard in the North Atlantic in World War II. Mr. Thorn worked as an architectural salesman for PPG Industries in Boston for forty-two years. Following his retirement, he continued his hobbies of traveling and woodworking.
Devoted husband of the late Irene Willard Thorn, to whom he was married fifty-six years. Mr. Thorn is survived by his elder son and daughter-in-law Willard and Jan Thorn of Canton; younger son and daughter-in-law Robert and Christine Thorn of Paxton, MA; and granddaughter and grandson-in-law Ellsbeth and Joseph Cundall of Brighton, MA. Brother of the late William H. Thorn and Ruth A. Thorn. Grandfather of the late William T. Thorn.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Roache - Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Canton, from 4-8 PM. Interment will be private.
