Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy T. (Dutra) Goulet, of Taunton passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of the late World War II Veteran, Joseph Henry Goulet.
She was born December 20, 1924, the daughter of the late Domingo and Rosella (Morin) Dutra.
She was educated in the Taunton school system. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and was elected Union President in the early 1980’s.
Dorothy (Dottie) loved the company of her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, was an avid Boston sports fan with Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics being among her favorite teams. Her love of animals, skiing, hiking and camping on Cape Cod and New Hampshire were just a few of her favorite activities.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew’s Parish and belonged to the prayer group of the LaSalette Shrine in Attleboro.
She leaves behind one son, Wayne Joseph Goulet of Taunton and 4 daughters: Mrs. Sharon Richard of Raynham, Mrs. Marianne Poirier, Assonet, Mrs. Rosemary Spearin, Taunton and Mrs. Kathleen Goulet-Daigneault of Wisconsin. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The sister of the late, Alfred, Joseph, Francis, George, Edward and Ida Dutra, Eva Frazier, Helen Pontes, Jennie Machado and Marion Bigelow.
Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday, June 9th at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday from 5-8pm.
Burial will be in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Taunton Animal Shelter, 821 West Water St., Taunton, MA 02780
