Richard A. Killebrew, 57, of New Bedford died June 5, 2012 at home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of the late Theresa Killebrew.
Born in Bronx, NY, the son of the late William A. and Mary Ellen (Harris) Killebrew, he lived in Boston and Lynn before moving to New Bedford 8 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed playing sports and boxing in his youth.
Survivors include his fiancée, Wanda M. Sims of New Bedford and her children, Lawrence Chaney, Britney Chaney, Jordana Chaney and Isaiah Ferguson; a sister, Mona Killebrew of Bronx, NY; 2 grandchildren, Jerez Chaney and Davairus Chaney, a cousin, Keith Killebrew; a niece, Khia Killebrew and a nephew, Andrew Killebrew.
His private funeral arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
