Dorothy (Couto) Velozo, 84 of Somerset, passed away June 5, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Velozo and the daughter of the late Antone and Beatrice (Gomes) Couto. Mrs. Velozo was a member of the Clifton Geriatric Singing Group, the “Cliftonaires”; St. John of God Choir; Enjoyed charity work, singing, knitting, wintering in FL, playing cards, and giving to family & friends.
Dorothy is survived by her 2 sons: Henry A. Velozo (wife Elaine) and Steven Velozo (wife Zoleen), both of Somerset; 4 grandchildren: Steven M. Velozo, Katie (Velozo) Bukovec (husband Joe), Jonathan Velozo, & Amy Velozo. She was the sister of the late Rosalina Correia.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on FRIDAY at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Somerset at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours on THURSDAY from 4-8 P.M.
