Obituary

Margaret R. "Peg" (Nemet) Giuliano 85, of Norwood, and a former Franklin resident, died peacefully at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Norwood Monday June 4, 2012 following an illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Giuliano who died in 2006.
Born November 14, 1926, in Boston, a daughter of the late August and Margaret R. (White) Nemet, she was raised and educated in Cambridge, and also attended Wheelock College in Boston. She moved to Franklin in 1972.
Peg was the owner and operator of the former Pine Acres Country Day School in Franklin, where she devoted 34 years to the young children of Franklin. She was involved in the education and shaping of numerous children’s lives, many of whom would come back to visit her as they got older.
A devoted member of the First Universalist Society in Franklin, she was a member of the welcoming committee, and the peace committee at the church, was a member of the Franklin Interfaith Council, and was a co-founder of Franklin Youth Services and a former member of the Norwood League of Woman Voters. She also enjoyed spending time with her family in Brewster.
She is survived by her children; Joseph J. Giuliano, Jr. of South Grafton, Richard M. Giuliano and his wife Lauren of Foxboro and Carolyn G. MacLeay and her husband Gordon of Norwood, 2 brothers; James McCusker of Bourne & Richard “Dick” McCusker of Florida, and a sister Betty Risley of Florida.
She is the sister of the late Jean Campbell.
Also surviving are her grandchildren; Allison & Andrew MacLeay, Kristin, Michael, Joseph J. Giuliano, III, Kara Giuliano, & Katelyn Scammon and 3 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Thursday June 7th, at 1PM in the First Universalist Society in Franklin 262 Chestnut St. Franklin, MA 02038. Her interment at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham will be held privately.
