Of Brockton June 2nd, Ruben (79) Husband of Marie Josseline-Chery died in the Milton Hospital after a period of failing health.
He was born in Gros Morne, Haiti Son of the late Llion Vernet and Felicite Andre Vernet. Ruben was a school bus driver for the 1st Student Bus Company of Boston for 23 years. He was a communicant of Christ the King Parish and enjoyed listening to music and tending his flowers.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 6 Sons, Ruben Vernet Jr, Rudler Vernet, James Saturne and Ralph Saturne all of Boston, Holben Vernet of Florida and Dudley Vernet of Framingham- 6 Daughters Myrtho Vernet-McGuffie of Brockton, Clugny Vernet of Florida, Paulovna Vernet-Ravelo of Cambridge, Claudine Vernet, Ericka Williams and Shelly Saturne all of Boston, 16 Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren- 1 Brother Francel Andre of Haiti, 1 Sister Euphemie Douze of Haiti.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court St Brockton, Sat. June 9th at 9 am followed by a Haitian Creole Mass in Christ the King Church 42 Wendell Ave Brockton at 10 am with his Nephew Fr. Guerlain Chancy Celebrant. Cremation to follow. Visitation in the Funeral Home Friday June 8th from 6-9 pm.
