In Taunton, June 3, 2012 Berenice I. Emond, age 91 passed away in Golden Living Center Wedgemere following a period of failing health. Berenice was the wife of the late Joseph A. Emond. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Ernest & Margaret (McIsasc) Shepard. Berenice was a lifetime resident of Taunton. Berenice was a former member of the Oakland Seniors, an avid quilter and enjoyed knitting, sewing, visiting casinos and cherished her time with family. Berenice is survived by her children; Ronald Emond of Taunton, Sandra Paille & her husband Armand of Norton, Peggy Carvalho & her husband Paul of Taunton and her late son Robert Emond. She leaves her sister Dorothy Charbonneau of Taunton and her late brother Kenneth Shepard. Berenice also is survived by ten grandchildren, twenty three great and two great great grandchildren. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, June 7th at 8am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-7pm. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
