KELLY, Rosalind L. (Brooks) of Merrimac, formerly of Natick, 69, passed away on June 1, 2012 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Audna (Newman) Brooks of Newton. She was the beloved wife of Roger E. Kelly, loving mother of Lisa Kelly Wright of Natick, April Kelly Levitt and her husband, Steven J. Levitt, of Wellesley and Darren E. Kelly and his partner Brenda Jones of Bellingham.
She was the adored Grammy of William Wright, Sydney, Samantha and Ricky Levitt, and Kristin Jones. Roz was dearly loved by her brother and sisters, Richard Brooks of New Mexico, Dorothy Rice of Bourne, MA, Betsy Dolan of Jamaica Plain, MA, and Susan Krongard, of Rochester, NH and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Thelma Pease, of Milford, MA, Lorna Kelly DeLuca and her husband, Joseph DeLuca, of Nashua, NH and her many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her numerous friends.
Roz was a talented knitter and seamstress. She was a marvelous cook and she also loved gardening with her husband, Roger. Above all, she loved and was loved by her family. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 6 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington Street, (Rt. 16), WELLESLEY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington Street, (Rt. 16), Wellesley. Interment private.
