O’Malley, Austin F., 85 of Centerville, MA and Naples, FL, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
Son of the late Austin and Kathleen O’Malley.
He was born in Boston, MA on October 24, 1926. He was a graduate of Holy Cross, Tufts and Tufts Medical School. Dr. O’Malley served in the United States Navy for five years. As a young well-trained Urologist he then went into private practice for 30 years on Cape Cod. Upon retiring in 1988 Dr. O’Malley spent his winters in Naples and summers on Cape Cod.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia J. (Lynch) O’Malley and his son Kevin J. O’Malley, father of his grandchildren, Sadie, Kimbal and Ryan and daughter, Kate P. (O’Malley) Sisk and her husband Edward M. Sisk and their children Austin and Julia. He is also survived by his brother James A. O’Malley and his sister Marion T. O’Malley.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 5, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in The Doane Beale and Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St. Hyannis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 6, in Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, MA at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
