Christina “Tina” Fobes, of Randolph, formerly of Stoughton, a former Bank Manager and teachers assistant passed away unexpectedly Saturday April 24, 2004 at Brockton Hospital. She was 59 years old.
Born March 7, 1945 in Brockton,MA she was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Howard L. and Mrs. Constance A. (Ames) Fobes.
She attended Stoughton Public schools and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1963.
After high school she attended and graduated from the Peabody School Of Business in Norwood,MA.
She was employed by the Stoughton Public School system as a Teachers Assistant at various schools for over ten years.
She was a very active member of the First Parish Universalist Church of Stoughton, having served on various boards and committees which included: Parish secretary, clerk and treasurer, finance committee member, Religious Education Teacher, member Religious Education Committee, Chairwoman of the fundraising events of the church, member of the Search Committee, member of the church Denominational Affairs Committee.
She was also the former Bank Manager of the North Randolph Savings Bank and former Assistant Manager of the Stoughton branch of the Randolph Savings Bank. She was also an office manager with the Rogers Insurance Agency of Stoughton and worked at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston,MA as a Financial Assistant.
She loved her family very much.
She enjoyed traveling and crafts.
She is survived by her Brother: Jeffrey A. Fobes of Stoughton and her sister Cynthia L. Seaman of Painesville,OH. Also her nephew Dale C. Seaman of Denver,CO and her niece Wendy L. Rasmussen of Croydon,NH and her Greatnieces and greatnephew: Kortney and Kaiden Seaman both of Denver,CO and Olivia and Abby Rasmussen of Croydon,NH.
Visiting hours to which friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend will be held in the Sheehan- Lowe and Powers Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton on Friday April 30, 2004 from 1P.M. to 3 P.M. Graveside funeral services will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. A memorial service to celebrate Christina’s life will also be held on Saturday May 1, 2004 at 11 A.M. in the First Parish Universalist Church, Stoughton Center, with the Rev. Jeffrey Symynkywicz, Pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 1115 Chestnut Street, Brockton,MA 02301 or The First Parish Universalist Church, 790 Washington Street, Stoughton,MA 02072 in Christina’s memory would be appreciated.
