TAUNTON - Evelyn (Lecuyer) Rezendes, died June 2, 2012 at Life Care of Raynham, following a brief illness.
She was 89 years old.
Evelyn was the wife of the late Francis F. Rezendes, to whom she was married for 50 years.
She was born in Fall River, but moved to Taunton at an early age.
The daughter of the late William and Eveline (Belanger) Lecuyer, she was educated in Taunton schools and attended the Bristol County Business School.
Her working years were spent mainly as an office clerk at the former Ansonia Mills in East Taunton and later at W.H. Riley & Sons, Taunton, as office clerk/computer operator.
She was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
Evelyn leaves her brother, Norman and his wife Beatrice, Roland and his wife Helen, and her sister-in-law, Rose Lecuyer.
She was predeceased by her brother William and his wife Genevieve, and her brother Eugene.
Evelyn also leaves several nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed reading, knitting and crossword puzzles, as well as watching Red Sox baseball.
She had enjoyed travelling with her late husband.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, June 6th at 9:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 5th from 4 to 7 p.m.
