WILSON - Melton Kent "Bubba" Wilson, 57, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at his Yulee residence. He was born in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Yulee in 1992 from Callahan.
Bubba was a graduate of West Nassau High School. He worked at the Nassau Bowling Center in Yulee and was know by many there. He loved people and never met a stranger. He is described by those who know and love him as a "big teddy bear;" a generous man with a big heart.
Survivors include his parents, Homer M. and Althea Lee Wilson, of Callahan, FL; a brother, Freddie Wilson (Patty), also of Callahan; two sisters, Sabrina Mashburn (Lane) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Angie Keener (Jimmy) of Hilliard, FL; a nephew, eight nieces; good friends, James and Rhonda Campbell and Jamison Hudson, as well as many other friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating.
