Bessie Lou Dunn Goodwin, age 61, died Thursday, May 30, 2012 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born December 1, 1950 to the late Ben and Leola Davis Dunn in Michigan. Bessie was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 4, 2012 in the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun County, MS with Bro. Jerry Burk officiating.
Bessie is survived by Anthony Boxx of Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Lisa McIver of Pensacola, FL; a son, Mark Goodwin (Mary Joe) of Batesville, MS; three sisters, Katherine Camp and Frances Burk both of Water Valley, MS and Mary Pirson of Houston, MS; two brothers, Wayne Dunn (Faye) of Lafayette County, MS and Ed Dunn (Anita) of Jasper, AR; and four grandchildren, Mark Jr., Ethan, Cameron and Alec.
