Mary T. (Bachofner) Gillard, age 76, of Tewksbury, formerly of Roslindale and Jamaica Plain, passed away May 27 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of 58 years to Joseph F. Gillard, Sr. Daughter of the late Harold and Anna (Joyce) Bachofner. Loving mother of Joseph F. Jr. and his wife Peggie of Sweeney, TX, Theresa M. Hirsh and her husband Ken of Tewksbury, Steven J. and his wife Linda and Patricia A. Cochrane and her husband Steve all of Attleboro. Dear grandmother of Brandon, Matthew and Christopher Gillard, Ryan, Matthew and Katelyn Hirsh, Stacy, Steven and Garrett Gillard. Great Grandmother of Maleek, Aiyana and Mekhi Gillard, and the late Isabella Gillard. Dear Sister of Catherine Johnson of Jamaica Plain and Richard Bachofner of West Roxbury, and the late William Galvin, Anna McMann, Dorothy O'Connor, Margaret Granfield, and Joseph Bachofner. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday, June 3, from 2-6 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Monday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m., at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lahey Clinic Brain Tumor Clinic, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805.
