Mr. Robert H. Kirker, Jr., age 80, of Raynham, passed away on April 10, 2012 in Port Charlotte, Florida. He was the husband of the late Dorothy “June” Kirker, and the son of the late Robert H. Kirker, Sr. and the late Marjorie E. (Westgate) Kirker. He was born on April 9, 1932. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force in 1950 as a Teletype Operator, serving for four years, and earning the rank of Staff Sergeant before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1954. His decorations included the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After completing his military service, he was employed by the Brockton V.A. Hospital and then the Walter Barker Construction Company in Taunton. He founded and became President of the Kirker-Perry Construction company of Raynham in the late 1960’s. He served as President until his retirement.
Bob is survived by his companion, Charlene “Candi” Sines of Raynham; 3 children: Sharon Rosen and her husband Craig of Assonet, Steven Kirker of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Michael Kirker of Taunton; 2 grandchildren: Chad Rosen and his wife Becky of Swansea and Katie Glover and her husband Jason of Raeford, N.C.; 2 great granddaughters: Samantha Rosen and Zoe Glover; 2 sisters: Janice Guth of Raynham and Marjorie Bedient of Florida; 1 brother: Gordon Kirker of Nevada, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Norman Kirker and the late Eileen Williams.
