Myrtice G. Kehl, 97, of Norman Park, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Norman Park.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 2 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with Elder Charles Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Kehl was born January 27, 1915 in Irwin County to the late Reason “R.W.” and Martha Van Paulk Gray and was raised by her father and stepmother, Mattie Lee Hendley. She lived in Colquitt and Lowndes counties most of her life and was a former employee of Daniel Ashley Hotel in Valdosta. Mrs. Kehl was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Fields of Norman Park and Martha Hurst of Sumner; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James W. & Barbara Gray of Macon as well as two nephews, Kenny Hamby and Gerald Paulk. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Ray” Kehl.
