Rubin, Eleanor (Temkin) 70 of Peabody passed away on May 29, 2012. Eleanor was born in Boston. She was a longtime resident of Peabody. She was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. During her working years, Eleanor was a medical secretary.
Eleanor was the beloved wife of Donald Rubin. She was the devoted mother of Steven Rubin and his wife Terri, Gary Rubin and his wife Brandi and Shelley Rubin. She was the loving daughter of the late David and the late Pearl Temkin. Eleanor was the loving sister of Arlene Hurley. She was the loving grandmother of Alexia, Zackary, Janella, Natalie and Matthew.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Peabody. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Shelley Rubin, immediately following the interment until 8:00 and Sunday, 2:00 until 8:00 PM and Monday, 2:00 until 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102 Danvers, MA 01923 or to a charity of one’s choosing.
