Obituary

DUDLEY – Roman Rucinski, 83, of Dudley, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 after a short illness in Harrington Memorial Hospital with his love at his side.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Maria (Sidor) Rucinska; 4 children, Dr. Zofia Mroczka and her husband Zbigniew, Michal Rucinski and his wife Jolanta, Alicja Gummienny and her husband Wieslaw, and Marek Rucinski and his wife Agnieszka, all of Dudley; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, David P. Rucinski in 1996, and by 2 brothers, Edward and Eugeniusz.
He was born and raised in Poland, a son of Michal and Jozefa (Bal) Rucinski. He emigrated to the United States in 1987. While in Poland, he was a farmer. Here, he was a machine operator at Anglo Fabrics Company before retiring. He was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church.
Throughout his life he dedicated himself to loving his family and grandchildren and helping them in any way he could. Roman was a man of pure love and kindness. His personality, love, kindness and big smile were felt by everyone he met. He was a man who knew how to make everyone feel love and happiness. He will be tremendously missed by his entire family; however, his spirit will be with us forever and will never be forgotten. May God hold him close with the angels in heaven and bless him always.
The funeral will be held Saturday, June 2, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St. Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 1, in the funeral home.
