Brien T. Gebo, 47, of Meredith, NH died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Meredith. He was born on March 28, 1965 in Lawrence, MA, a son of the late Thomas J. and Carole D. (Clark) Gebo. Brien was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Derry, Class of 1984. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and snowmobiling. He was also an avid Harley enthusiast. Brien loved seafood and cooking, particularly when he could combine the two and have lobster or clam bakes. He enjoyed working with his hands, having a special touch when it came to working on mechanical things, especially engines. If it has an engine he could make it run. He was a genuine person and trusted friend who could be depended on. While intimidating in statue, Brien was a teddy bear when you got to know him. He will be sadly missed by his furry companion Cottonball and all the people whose lives he has touched. Snowball, his other furry companion has been waiting patiently to be reunited with Brien and his wish was granted.
He is survived by his three sisters, Nancy Berry and her husband Leon of Windham, NH, Elizabeth Jackson and her husband Gordon of New Hartford, Ct, Kellie Bartolucci and her husband Dean of Marlborough, CT, several nieces and nephews from Connecticut and New Hampshire, many aunts, uncles and cousins including his godmother Ann Bergeron of Methuen, MA and his godfather William Clark of Newton, NH. He was predeceased by one step-brother Conrad Warren.
Following cremation, A Memorial service will be held on Saturday June 2, 2012 at 2:00pm in the First Parish Congregational Church, 47 East Derry Road, Derry. All are invited to a mercy meal in the church hall following the service. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
