Our beloved Doreen D. Johnson, who has become one with the angels, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at her Framingham home while under hospice care.
Doreen was born in New Bedford to Elsie (Gama) and Antonio V. Gouveia. Throughout the first half of her life she found herself bogged down in the mire of drugs and alcohol. She then moved to Natick where she embarked on an alcoholics anonymous journey, met some wonderful friends at a place called Serenity House (two thumbs up and a smile to all of you) and actualized for herself and others the wonderful human being she always was in her soul.
A Framingham resident since 1987, Doreen was employed for many years with Overnight Transportation of Southborough.
She is suvived by her son, David Johnson of Framingham; her daughter, Raven Johnson of AZ; her husband, Brent “Benney” Bauer; her nephew, Che Gouveia of Framingham; her brother, Tony Gouveia of Walpole; and cousins Debbie Kronteres and Fred Gomes, and their families.
Her funeral service will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Thursday, May 31st at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday 4 – 7p.m.
