Obituary

Stefanos “Steve” Tsetsos, 84, died Saturday May 26th peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Stavroula “Stella” (Verviris) Tsetsos; four children, Agatha Iovieno and her husband Louis V. Iovieno, Jr. of Dudley, Spiros S. Tsetsos and his wife, Denise A. of Oxford, Nicholas S. Tsetsos and Angelo S. Tsetsos and his wife, Angeliki all of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Louis Iovieno III, Ashley Iovieno, Vanessa Thomas and her husband Toffy, Zachary Tsetsos, Chloe Tsetsos, Christian Tsetsos, Julia Tsetsos, Nicholas Tsetsos, and Stevie Tsetsos. He also leaves an uncle, aunt and cousins.

Steve was born in Glina, Vorios Epirus Greece, the only son of Speros and Agathi (Gikas) Tsetsos. He came to Worcester in 1954. Mr. Tsetsos worked at Table Talk Pies for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1984. Steve enjoyed time spent with his family; and was an adoring Papou to his nine grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Steve's family would like to thank the staff at UMass-Memorial Hospice, especially Linda and Betty for the extraordinary care and support they provided.

The funeral is Thursday, May 31st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 30th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
