Obituary

Norma I. (King) Kelliher, 87, of Abington passed away Saturday May 26th after a period of failing health.

She was born in Hanson, brought up in Whitman, daughter of the late Calvin and Ethel (Burke) King. Norma was a graduate of Whitman High School class of 1943.

She moved to Abington and raised her family. Norma worked as an executive stenographer for the Foxboro Company for 12 years, also worked for the Abington Council on Aging and Standard Products in Whitman.

Norma was a member of the United Church of Christ in Abington. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening and most of all her family.

She is survived by her children, T. Michael Kelliher and his wife Carol of Abington, David Kelliher and his companion Hildy Margolis of Rockland, Louise Burden and her husband Jim of Cranston, RI and Laurie Davis of Groveton, NH, her brother Richard King and his wife Beverly of NC, also 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charles, Calvin and Frank King and Lillian Segrist, whom passed away the same day Norma.

Her services, as well as her sister Lillian’s, will be held on Friday June1st at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Visitation will be on Thursday May 31th from 4:30-7:30PM.
