Obituary

Frederick H. “Freddie” Randall, 84, of Bridgewater formerly of Whitman passed away Friday May 25th surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Waitt) Randall.

Freddie was born in Brockton and brought up in Whitman and attended Whitman Schools. He was the son of the late Frederick C. and Mildred (Wagner) Randall.

He had been a Whitman resident most of his life, before moving to Bridgewater 10 years ago.

Fred served his country, first in the United States Coast Guard from 1945-1946, then the United States Navy from 1950-1951.

He worked for over forty years for the Eastern Edison Company as a Crew Chief. Freddie was also a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Whitman and a member of the Whitman VFW Post #697, American Legion, Honorary member of the K of C and a lifetime member of the Commercial Club in East Bridgewater.

He enjoyed cribbage and playing cards.

He is survived by his children, Russell Randall and his wife Debra of Whitman, Richard Randall and his wife Melissa of Hyannis and Ronald Randall and his wife Linda of East Bridgewater ,nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, longtime family friend Gloria Grillo of Plymouth, many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Robin (Randall) (Moakely) Digits and Frederick Randall, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday May 29th from 4:00-8:00.His funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 30th at 12:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, (RT 58 at the Rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Assoc., Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or www.heart.org.
