Deborah Elaine Smith, age 52, of Douglas, Ga passed away on Wednesday,
May 23, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Hospital, Albany, Ga. following an extended illness. Mrs. Smith was born on May 13, 1960, in Jacksonville, Fl to May Bell Hatfield Smith and to the late Elzie John Smith.
Survivors include: her mother, May Bell Smith, Douglas, GA: husband, Fernando Gonzales, Douglas, GA; One daughter, Sherry Denise Escobedo, Preston, GA; two sons, Michael Anthony White and Jeffery Scott White, Both of Douglas, GA; three sisters: Libby Robertson, Tifton, GA; Cynthia Marie Ray, Fitzgerald, GA; Lisa Faye Oliver,
Douglas,Ga.; two brothers: Thomas Edward Smith, Sumner, GA. and Robert Frank Smith,Douglas, GA. Seven grandchildren: Marie Fernanda Vasquez, Victor Vasquez, Theresa Davila, Malinda White, Laneris White, Jeffery Scott White, Jr. and Joseph Richard White.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Music will be furnished for the service by a CD of Rascal Flatts "I Won't Let Go". Sims Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
