Carl Harris, 64, of Fitzgerald, GA died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at his residence.
Services will be private.
Mr. Harris was born February 18, 1948, in Atlanta, GA to the late Clyde and Harriet Capp Harris. A 1966 graduate of O’Keefe High School in Atlanta, he held an Associate’s degree from Georgia State University in Business Management. Mr. Harris was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He formerly worked for L&N Railroad. He was also a Private Investigator with the law firm of Beckham, McAlilly & Shultz and later with Defilippo & Clark, both in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Harris was a licensed Real Estate Agent and Broker. He had lived in Fitzgerald for the past ten years from Carroll County and was a former resident of Atlanta and Anniston, AL. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vicki Sims Harris of Fitzgerald; son: Carl Leonard “Chip” Harris II of Savannah, GA; daughter: Pamela Ren’e Harris Langley & Tony of Carroll Co.; grandchildren: Carl Leonard “Landon” Harris III, Evan Boyd Harris, Taylor Ashlyn Morgan, and Tanner Davis Langley.
