Patricia A. (Scales) Woelfel of Whitman, formerly of South Boston, passed away surround by her family. She was the beloved wife of John E. Woelfel, devoted mother of Theresa (Woelfel) Harris and her husband Brian, John Woelfel, Jr. of Richmond VA and Jason Woelfel and his wife Gail of Holbrook. Nana to Concetta and Leo Woelfel of Richmond, VA, dear sister of John and Marty Scales and the late Joseph Scales. Cherished aunt of Lisa Scales and Elizabeth (Scales) Morris and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was born and raised in South Boston, daughter of the late Martin H. and Marion T. (Duffy) Scales. She was a graduate of Gate of Heaven High School.
Patricia was a retiree of the Catholic Charities.
Her services will be held on Thursday May 31st at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (RT 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, MA, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, MA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 30th from 4:00-8:00. Donations may be made in her name to the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the NE Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108.
