Obituary

Lawrence, Ma. – Christopher “Chris” M. Howarth, 40, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, died unexpectedly Monday, May 21, 2012 at home.

Chris, son of Carol A. (Frezzette) Riley and the late Norman A. Howarth, Jr., was born in Lawrence on January 8, 1972. Chris attended Lawrence Public Schools and along with his father performed many odd jobs over a period of several years. He also worked in the kitchen at the South Lawrence School Department and in various local restaurants. He enjoyed target practice and weight lifting and was an enthusiastic fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Chris will be sadly missed by his mother, Carol A. (Frezzette) Riley of Newfields, NH; three brothers; Norman A. Howarth, III, with whom Chris lived, John S. Howarth and his fiancée Susan of Stratham, New Hampshire, and Jason Riley of Rochester, NH; his maternal grandmother, Elma Frezzette of Methuen; one niece, April M. Howarth of Methuen and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Christopher’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Friday from 5-8 PM.

His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen will be private and at the convenience of the family.
