MILDRED E. (NEWALL) GASKELL, of Hingham, passed away on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born in Lawrence, MA and was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Auburn School of Nursing. Mrs. Gaskell resided in Hingham from 1967 to 1987 when she retired to Cape Cod. She returned to Hingham in 2007. She was a volunteer at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth for many years. In her later life she became an avid golfer and also enjoyed knitting and playing bridge.
She was the wife of the late John M. Gaskell and mother of Jeffrey M. Gaskell of Yakima, WA, Pamela G. Winters of Stamford, CT and Nancy G. Kingman of Wilton, CT. Grandmother of Justin, Erik, Drew, Jeffrey and Britt Gaskell, Laurence Winters and John (Drew) and Dana Kingman. Great Grandmother of Hudson, Paxton, Zayla and Teige.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Hingham Congregational Church, 366 Main St. (Rt. 228), Hingham on Saturday, June 2nd at 1 PM.
