Mitchell Homsy, a life-long resident of Natick, passed away on May 19, 2012. He was 84 years old.
Born in Natick, Mitch was the son of the late Toofick and Freda (Moussab) Homsy. He was a graduate of Natick High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction for 30 years, for various companies including Perini and Modern Continental but his true love was working on the family farm in Natick. He and his dad harvested vegetables and transported them by horse and buggy to Haymarket Square in Boston to be sold. He was an avid walker, rain or shine.
Mitchell leaves a beloved sister, Mary Turk of Natick, and 2 brothers, Joseph Homsy of Mexico and Russell Homsy of Natick. He is also survived by his devoted niece and nephews Gail Finks of Framingham, Steven Turk of Millis, Gary Turk of Bellingham, Russell Homsy of Newton and John Homsy of Cambridge.
Mitchell's Funeral Service was held in the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. DEDHAM May 25, 2012 Expressions of sympathy in Mitchell's memory may be made to the Church or to International Mesothelioma Program Division of Thoracic Surgery, Brigham and Women's Hospital 75 Francis St. Boston, MA 02115.
