Obituary

Francis E. Lapointe, 91, of Manchester, died May 21, 2012 at the Catholic Medical Center 3 days after his loving wife of 58 years Doris (Vachon) Lapointe passed away.
He was born in New Bedford, MA on March 22, 1921, the son of Arthur and Anna (Ouellette) Lapointe. During WWII, he served in the US Army prior to his honorable discharge.
Francis had been employed as a jewelry polisher for Jewel Cross in North Attleboro, MA prior to his retirement. Since retirement, he had also worked at Shaw's Supermarket in Goffstown, NH.
Family members include his son Arthur Lapointe and his wife Laurie of Manchester; his daughter Annette McNamee and her husband Joseph of Attleboro, MA; six grandchildren, Stephen Lapointe and wife Sarah, Nathan Lapointe, Keith Lapointe and his wife Karen all of Manchester, Nicholas McNamee of Attleboro, Jennifer McNamee Veveiros and husband Michael of South Attleboro, Denise McNamee of Attleboro; two great-granddaughters, Ashlyn and Abigail; one sister Margarite Levesque; many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and John Lapointe and two sisters, Anna Kelley and Georgette Levesque.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Blessed Sacrament Church.. Burial with military honors was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.
