Obituary

Mrs. Anna P. (O'Sullivan) Zahn, 92, of Johnson City, TN, formerly of Salem, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.

Born on December 19th, 1919 in Lawrence to the late Thomas and Mary Patricia (Foley) O'Sullivan. Anna was educated in Saint Rita's Grammar School and was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in 1937.

She was an attendant of Saint Joseph's Church in Salem, NH and formerly of Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA. Anna worked for the Government in the Washington and Boston areas. She later retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1983.

Anna was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 8 in Lawrence, MA. She was also on the Ladies Hibernian Bowling League and loved to bowl with her friends. Anna loved to travel to Ireland to visit family, she went at least 15 times, her last trip was in March of 2000. She enjoyed caring for her home and her yard in Salem, New Hampshire, where she loved to spend most of her time.

wife of the late Mr. Bernard J. Zahn, Sr. who passed away in October of 1980.

As well as 23 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Anna has several aunts and cousins in Ireland.

and Bruce and his wife Frances Zahn of Lawrence, MA.

Anna was the last of 10 siblings.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, May 24th, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 25th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA. Her burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the LAOH Division 8, 266 Colonial Road, Lawrence, MA 01843 and to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
