Obituary

Salem: Robert P. Alexander, age 57 passed away, after a brief illness,
At the V. A. Hospital in West Roxbury on May 16, 2012.

Born in Marblehead, he was the son of the late Paul and Jean (Bath) Alexander and was the step-son of Theresa Cruger Alexander of Marblehead. Bob served with the Army in Germany during the Viet Nam War. Once back home he worked in several different occupations, but primarily worked installing security alarm systems for which he earned the nickname ‘Squirrel’.

In addition to his step-mother, he is survived by 5 brothers, David W. Alexander and his wife Diane of Winchendon, Duane C. Alexander of Beverly, John P. Alexander and his wife Gail of Beverly, William Cruger and his wife Angela of Lakeview, CT, Christopher Cruger and his wife Betsy of Swampscott, an aunt, Lois Stout of Martha’s Vineyard, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 5 to 7 P.M. in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / !-A] Salem, to be followed by his memorial service at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Salem V.F.W. Post 1524, 95 Derby St., Salem MA 01970.
