AUBURN-Joanne M. (Hoey) Largesse, 77, of Auburn, died Sunday, May 20th in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves her son, Daniel E. Largesse and his wife Lynn of Auburn; two daughters, Marybeth Largesse-Ortiz and Joanne M. Largesse-Simoncini both of Worcester; her brother, William J. Hoey, Jr. of Marshfield, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Her children’s father, Gerald L. Largesse, Sr. and her brother Paul F. Hoey predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of William J. and Mary E. (Delores) Hoey. Mrs. Largesse was a graduate of Ascension High School; and had been employed as an operator for New England Telephone; and a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Auburn.
Her graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 23rd in St. John’s Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame Retirement Fund, 30 Jeffrey’s Neck Road, Ipswich, MA 01938. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is directing arrangements.
