Obituary

DANVERS - Margrette H. (Wilson) Herron, 95, of Danvers, wife of the late Donald B. Herron, died Tuesday morning, May 15, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a short illness.

Born in Warner, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Coral May (Lord) Wilson. The family moved to Danvers when she was a few years old and she has been a resident of Danvers since that time. While attending the Holten High School, she was a member of the Baton Squad in 1933.

Mrs. Herron was employed by CBS Hytron in Salem and Danvers, and later worked for the town of Danvers before retiring in 1978.

Margrette loved to travel, and traveled across the U.S.A. She visited Yellowstone National Park, Hawaii and also traveled to Bermuda and Canada. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making many items for her grandchildren. In her later years, with her eyesight and hearing failing, she listened to talk radio as her window to the world.

Mrs. Herron is survived by two daughters, Judith R. Holloran Tremblay and her husband Leo “JR” Tremblay, Jr. of Salem, Carlene F. Graham of Danvers, 4 grandchildren, Richard J. Holloran Jr., Donald C. Holloran, Todd Graham, Brendan Graham, 5 great grandchildren, Erin O. Holloran, Colton J. Holloran, Emily B. Holloran, Alex R. Holloran, Fiona Graham, 1 brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Ruth Wilson of Manchester-By-The-Sea, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Mabel Adonis and Raymond Wilson, and was predeceased by one grandson, Matthew Graham.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am, prior to the service. Cemetery services are private.
