Lawrence – Anita C. Jacques died May 17, 2012 at Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Philias and Josephine (Auclair) Jacques. She attended St. Ann’s School. She worked as a housekeeper in the Lawrence area for 44 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence and was a member of the Lawrence Senior Center. In her free time, Anita enjoyed yard work and dancing at the Come Alive After Five Club in Lawrence.
Anita is survived by six sisters, Irene Ouellette of Londonderry, Theresa Bradley of Lawrence, Leona Lavoie of Lawrence, Doris Robichaud of Maine, Loretta Cyr of Lawrence, and Germaine Pedersen of Lawrence; two brothers, Chanel Jacques of Andover and Roland Jacques of Lawrence; many nieces and nephews; and a very close friend, John Austin of Methuen. She is predeceased by three sisters Rita Morel, Helen Dorr, and Yvonne Saindon and two brothers Joseph and Edward Jacques.
Friends will be warmly received on Sunday May 20, 2012 from 1-5 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
