CHICOPEE – Gifford W. “Giff” Fogg, 75, of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 11, 2012. He passed into Eternal Life at Willimansett Center West in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family and his wonderful caregivers. He was born in Springfield on April 23, 1937, a beloved son of the late Gifford P. and Selena F. (Foulds) Fogg. He was raised in Springfield, graduated from the former Technical High School and lived in the Forest Park section of Springfield for many years before moving to Chicopee in 1987. He was last employed as a machinist for Standard Manufacturing Company in West Springfield and Chicopee and had previously worked as a mechanic for many of the area auto truck dealers. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, a past vice-president and treasurer of the Hampshire County Radio Controllers and a member of the Westfield Sportsmen’s Club. Giff was an avid hobbyist and truly enjoyed the art of building radio-controlled models. He leaves: his loving children, David F. Fogg and his wife, Ruth-Ann, of Chicopee and Christine E. Bevans and her husband, Clarence “Dick” of Milton, FL; his five cherished grandchildren, Phillip Fogg and his wife, Caryn, Eric Fogg, Laura Stanley and her husband, J.D., Stephen Bevans and his wife, Amy, and Wesley Bevans; his 10 cherished great-grandchildren, Jade, Cole, Isaac, Kevan, Haylea and Kayleigh Stanley, Alexia and Madison Bevans, Heaven Lee Hope Edwards Fogg and James Thomas Edwards Fogg. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by: two children, Ruth Ann Fogg and Michael Gordon; and his brothers and sister, Perry Fogg, Gordon Fogg and Selena Fogg.
