Margaret Rose Ouellet, age 83, of Woburn passed away peacefully on May 12th with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest J. Ouellet. Born and raised in Cambridge she was one of four children of the late John and Anne (Fitzgerald) Mowatt.
Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Most recently she lived with her daughter Lisa at their home in Woburn after spending twelve years living together with her sister in Georgia following the death of husband Ernest in 1990. Margaret also lived in Burlington for many years and was an active parishioner of St. Margaret Church where she often volunteered and taught religion. Margaret enjoyed traveling with family and friends, trips to California and Hawaii being some of her most memorable vacations. She loved the ocean and enjoyed spending the summers with family in Gloucester and Marshfield creating lasting memories for the whole family. Margaret was a wonderful cook and baker. Nothing gave her more joy than serving a delicious meal for her family and especially her grandchildren whom she cherished.
Margaret is survived by her children, Paul Ouellet and his wife Kathy of Georgia, John Ouellet and his wife Marilyn of Michigan, Stephen Ouellet of Georgia, Lisa Donohoe and her husband Ron of Woburn, and close family friend Ray Campbell of Georgia. She was the loving "Mimi" of Renee Lancaster, Michelle Nowak, Megan Whitkin, Eric, Leah and Carly Ouellet, Maggie, Amy, Christine, Patrick, Betsy and Bernadette Donohoe. She is also survived by five loving great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister, the late Marilyn Mahoney, brothers, Rt. Rev. John Mowatt and Donald Mowatt.
Funeral services from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, FRIDAY, MAY 18TH, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours WEDNESDAY, May 16th, from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at St. Paul Cemetery, Arlington. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to St. Charles Church 280 Main St. Woburn, MA 01801.
