Lillian Larue 86, formerly of 547 Clinton St. died Friday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Rosario and Lillian (Vermette) Larue. Lillian worked in the linen department at the former Woonsocket Hospital for fourteen years before retiring in 1989. She had previously worked at the former Mt St. Frances Orphanage for thirty one years. She was a member of St. Ann's Ladies Guild and the Kennedy Manor Club.
Lillian is survived by a niece Rachel Odom and her husband Elton, a nephew Daniel Larue all of Woonsocket, a great niece and a great nephew, two great great nephews and a great great niece. She was also the sister of the late Russell Larue, William Larue and Doris Larue.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 at from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donations to Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Recreation Department, 560 Cumberland Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 in her memory would be appreciated.
