Lorraine M. (Spadafora) Keyser passed away at home on May 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old.
Born and raised in Melrose, Lorraine was a longtime resident of North Reading, Freedom, NH and Charlotte Harbor, FL. She was an avid golfer and loved flowers and gardening.
Lorraine was the devoted wife of 55 years to the late James R. Keyser. She was the beloved mother of Pamela Elliott and her husband F. Winslow and Donna McDonald and her husband Daniel all of Andover. Lorraine was the sister of the late Peter, William, Dominic, Bernard and Louis Spadafora and Helen Hurley, Gloria Umile and Dolly Gennetti. She was dear sister in-law of Mary Spadafora. Lorraine was the cherished grandmother of Daniel McDonald of Salem, NH, Melissa Merritt and her husband Russell III of Carver and Jonathan Elliott and his wife Colene of Exeter, NH and the great-grandmother of Molly and Olivia Elliott. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, May 15th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, May 14th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
