Beverly A. M. (Bachand) Hellstrom, 74, of Worcester, died Monday, May 7th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus surrounded by her family. She leaves her long time companion, Ronald F. Prefontaine; three sons, Marc Groccia of Norfolk, Scott Hellstrom of Worcester and Jay Hellstrom and his wife, Corrine of Leicester; three brothers, Paul Bachand of Spencer, Ronald Bachand of Exeter, RI and Martin Horback of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Nicklaus, Gregory, Joey, Katrina, Nick, Alec and Ben and many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Kathryn Horback.
Beverly was born in Worcester, the daughter of Henri and Meriel (Berberian) Bachand. She was a graduate of South High School and attended Anna Maria College and Worcester Community College. Ms. Hellstrom retired from Worcester County National Bank as a bank officer. After retiring, Beverly worked as a home health aide.
The funeral is Friday, May 11th with a service at 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, May 10th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
