Diane Kight, age 58, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Ms. Kight was born on January 24, 1954, in Jacksonville, FL to Carolyn Diane Jones and the late William Marcus Whitaker .
Survivors include: her mother, Carolyn Jones, of Macon, GA; two sons, Bobby (Pam) Wright, of Douglas, GA and William (Becky) McLendon, of Valdosta, GA; one brother, Mark Morris, of Lawrenceville, GA; one sister, Amy Morris, of Brunswick, GA; eleven grandchildren, Cortney (Danial) Croft, of Stockton, GA, Seth McLendon, of PA, Madison McLendon, of Waycross, GA, Brett McLendon, of PA, Blake Wright, of Douglas, GA, Cameron Wright, of Douglas, GA, Jade Harrell, of Douglas, GA, Hope Roberts, of Douglas, GA, Philip Lovell, Haley Lovell, both of Valdosta, GA and Faith Roberts, of Douglas, GA; and a very special friend Danny McLendon, of Douglas, GA. She is preceded in death by her father William Marcus Whitaker, a brother, Johnny Williamson, and a sister Valeria Whitaker.
Funeral Service were held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sanctuary of Waldroup Avenue with Rev. Bob Powell and Rev. Eddie Toole officiating.
