Obituary

Dr. Frederick H. Kalil, 94, died May 6, 2012 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach, Florida.
A longtime resident of Manchester and later Bedford, NH, he and his wife Madeleine moved to Vero Beach in 1992. Born in Manchester, he attended Manchester Central High School and the University of New Hampshire, receiving his DMD from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He served his internship in oral surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and practiced dentistry in Manchester for 41 years. Dr. Kalil served as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, was a member of the American and New Hampshire Dental Associations, and a lifetime member of the Manchester Country Club. At MCC and in Florida he will always be remembered as an avid golfer and a shrewd bridge player. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Madeleine Dionne Kalil of Vero Beach, sons, Frederick H. Kalil Jr. of Arlington, MA, Peter Kalil of Newton, MA, Stephen Kalil of Bedford, NH, daughter, Martha Kennedy of Rye, NY, brother, John Kalil of Manchester, NH, grandsons, Alexander Kalil, Adam Kalil, granddaughters, Sarah Kalil, Anna Kalil, Madeleine Kennedy, Elizabeth Kennedy, and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Dr. Toufic Kalil and sister Alice Christou. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Catholic Church, 140 Mitchell Street, Manchester, New Hampshire 03103.
SERVICES: Visitation hours: Friday, May 11 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, New Hampshire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Catholic Church in Manchester on Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 AM Burial will be at Bedford Center Cemetery, Bedford, New Hampshire.
