Heather Lynn Andrade, a lifelong resident of Taunton passed away on May 7, 2012 at McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich after a courageous battle with cancer. Heather was 24. She was the loving mother of Anthony Fernandez~ of Taunton. Beloved daughter of Dawn Horton and her step-Dad George DeCosta of Taunton, and her father Edward Andrade. She was the step-sister of George DeCosta, Jr., Shaun DeCosta, Christopher DeCosta and Justin DeCosta all of Taunton. Heather was the cherished granddaughter of Bettie Rivard of Taunton and the late George Horton. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
Heather was born on May 17, 1987 in Taunton, the city she called home all her life. She was a cheerleader for Taunton Pop Warner and Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School, where she graduated from in 2005. She then went on to graduate from Salter Medical School in Fall River and served as a Medical Assistant to Dr. Russo. Miss Andrade’s true love was her son Anthony, as she enjoyed taking him fishing and going for rides with him down the Cape. Heather enjoyed the ocean, animals, nature and most of all, life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday May 11th from 4-7pm at Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. Taunton, MA. A Funeral Service in the funeral home will be held at 7pm.
