Obituary

Mae Ivy Livingston, age 89. passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 in Water Valley, MS. She was born in Lafayette County to the late Emerson and Mable Carothers Ivy and worked for a period of time at Big Yank Corporation in Water Valley. She was widely recognized as a sales clerk at Turnage Drugs for numerous years, having worked first for Watt Turnage and later for Bennie Turnage. As a homemaker, Ms Mae enjoyed her flower beds brimming with abundant blooms, but her family was first and foremost in her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 2 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Eakes officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time. Interment will be in Browning Cemetery in Lafayette County with Bobby Turnage, James Ivy, Jason Ivy, John Nelson, Chris Nelson, and David Ivy. Bennie Turnage will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Ms Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis L. Livingston, and survived by a son, Tom Livingston of Dallas, TX. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Annie Laura Bumgardner, and three brothers, Homer Ivy, Hargis Ivy, and Jesse Ivy.
