TAUNTON – John J. Lynch, Jr., husband of Kathleen (McMenemy) Lynch of Taunton, died at the Life Care Center of Attleboro on May 1, 2012.
He was 71.
A Taunton resident for the past 12 years, he formerly resided in Rehoboth and S. Attleboro.
The son of the late John J. and Mary (Roy) Lynch, he was educated in Pawtucket schools, and was later employed as an Engineering Technician by the Foxboro Company for over 34 years.
He retired many years ago.
Most recently, Mr. Lynch was employed by the Taunton School Department as a custodial worker, and by the American Auto Auction of Dighton.
A cub scout leader for many years, Mr. Lynch enjoyed computers, electronics, target shooting and monthly lunch gatherings with his buddies from the auto auction.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Edward Lynch of Pawtucket and Thomas Lynch of North Attleboro; a daughter, Jill and beloved son-in-law Eric Burgess of Chepachet, RI; three sisters, Barbara Farrands of Cumberland RI, Shirley LeBlanc of Millville, MA, and Laretta Hammac of MI; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends at Rodante Estates, including his beloved friend, Tony Cardoza.
John was also the bother of the late William and Irene Lynch.
Funeral Services will be private.
