Ezabel (Rocha) Andrade, 80, of Dartmouth died May 4, 2012 peacefully at home.
She was the wife of the late Armando O. Andrade.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Severiano and Carolina (Almeida) Rocha, she lived in New Bedford most of her life before moving to Dartmouth 10 years ago.
Mrs. Andrade was an active member of the International Church of the Nazarene where she was the administrative secretary, Sunday School teacher and served many years on the church board.
She was a strong Christian woman who touched many lives through her Christian faith and service.
Survivors include her son, Steven Andrade of Dartmouth; 4 daughters, Carol Compton and her husband Gregory of Elkridge, MD, Dr. Patricia Andrade of Dartmouth, Rebecca Robateau and her husband Marcel of Randolph and Amanda Strong and her husband Christopher of Milton; a brother, Luiz Rocha of Riverhead, NY; a sister, Grace Cruz of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, William Compton, James Compton, Alexander Compton, Victoria Andrade-Fonseca and Blake Strong; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Francisco Rocha and Mary Almeida.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 10 AM in the International Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday, May 7th from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
