Londonderry– Francis E. Lord, 90, died May 4, 2012 at St. Teresa Manor following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on January 8, 1922 the son of Arsene and Ora (Pelletier) Lord and had been a lifelong resident of this community.
He served in the US Army during World War II and held membership in the American Legion Concord Post. Prior to his retirement he had been an aircraft mechanic with American Airlines.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne d’Arc (Bourassa) Lord who died March 31, 2010. He was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Members of his family include one son Fr. Gary Lord of Londonderry, two daughters, Nancy Lord of Londonderry and Lisa Lord-Ireland of Manchester, 3 grandchildren, Lindsay Mason, Elizabeth Mason and Kaitlyn Ireland, 1 sister Lorraine Binette of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.
Services: Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St..
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, ME., NH., VT., Affiliate, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
