Methuen – Annette (Arsenault) Hughes, 75, died May 2, 2012 at the Holy Family Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank C. Hughes.
Born in Sheridan, ME, she was the daughter of Alfred and Mabel (Gosselin) Arsenault. She worked as a quality inspector for Lucent Technologies for over twenty years until her retirement in 2001. Annette was a member of the Methuen Senior Center, where she loved playing cards with her friends. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and traveling to yard sales.
Annette is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Giordano and her husband, Benjamin, of Methuen, Susan Hughes of Chelmsford, and Brenda Deacon and her fiancé, Andrew Lien, of Pepperell; two sons, Daniel Hughes and his wife, Michele, of Derry, NH and Michael Hughes and his wife, Nicole, of Methuen; three sisters, Rita Chapman of Maine, Clara Sheehan of Methuen, and Emily Lefebre of Maine; twenty-one grandchildren, including Jayson Thornton, who resided with his grandmother; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her cat, Schatzie.
Friends will be warmly received on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 4-7 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A remembrance service will take place on Monday evening at 7 o’clock for family and friends.
Family members welcome all on Friday, May 11, 2012 for a graveside committal service in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen at 9: AM.
