Martinez, GA---Mr. William J. “Bill” Judy, 62, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Dr. Emmitt Tip Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery.
Mr. Judy was a native of Augusta and had lived his entire life in the Augusta area. Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in Viet Nam. He was a dedicated employee, for 26 years, at the Columbia County Jim Blanchard Water Treatment Plant, that he so loved.
He was a great man, who loved everyone and judged none and was a constant giver, who asked for nothing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Farrell L. Judy, Jr. and Barbara Waller Judy.
Survivors include his siblings, Connie Judy of Martinez, GA, Lynn Moates (Tony) of Martinez, GA, Farrell Judy III (Merinda) of Thomasville, GA, Santalee Jernigan (Butch) of Evans, GA, Edward Judy (Meloney) of Martinez, GA and Gary Judy (Bonnie) of Martinez, GA, numerous nieces and nephews, that he cherished and by his Chihuahua’s, Willie and Susie.
Pallbearers will be John Maldonado, Danny Phillips, Dennis Ellis, Mark Inglett, Charles Griffin, Bill Willingham, David Kent and Randie Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Evans, Todd Garnett, Brandon Knox, Jorge Capetillo, Henry Harris, Jody Lee, Michael Vinson and Benjamin Hardeman.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 11:00 am until the hour of services at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
